The Association is running the event this year in conjunction with RLYC. The advantage of this arrangement is that the Entry Fee can be kept to the lowest possible level as it’s something of an expensive week with the Summer Gathering at the weekend and RiR the previous Saturday.
We are most fortunate that Peter Saxton with his immense experience and knowledge of International Racing is running it for the Association and everyone’s grateful thanks are due to Peter. Malcolm McKeag has once again agreed to act as race Officer and so collectively we have a wealth of expertise helping us.
Please see the Notice of Race , attachment A and notice 1 for all Race Event details.
Entries will be open on line on The Association website (www.contessa26.net) this week. If anyone has a preference not to use this system you will find an Entry Form appended to the NoR.
The Haven is the venue. We have a block of visitors moorings booked for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday if anyone would like to moor there. If so please let me know before 2 July, and we will add you to the list and invoice you in advance for payment. Its £33.60 per night.
Just to mention one point for Class 3 (Non spinnaker entries). Class 3 will have its own start and 1 race per day is planned, and if weather permits anchor up for lunch before returning to the Haven.
The evenings are going to have to be low key and informal with flexibility in arrangements. BBQ style supper get-togethers are expected.
We hope you will consider entering and look forward to seeing members then.
