For sale is Gentianella, a Jeremy Rogers, Contessa 26, built 1969, Hull No 50, lying in Cardiff.

In very good condition. The 10hp Beta Engine has been regularly serviced and runs smoothly.  Hull & topsides have been painted regularly.  She has been taken out of the water annually for at least a month for regular anti-fouling and shows no signs of osmosis. All sea cocks changed 3 yrs ago.  She is based on the B layout, but was modified by previous owner to sail with his wife and young child to the Baltic.  This has reduced her to 3 1/2 berths but permitted installation of a 2 burner gas oven. She sails well, short or single handed.  She has a bolt rope main so hoisting sail is done at the mast.  All other actions – reefing, dropping sail are done from the cockpit, as lines are led back.  She does particularly well in local races, especially in strong winds.

She is well known to the Contessa Association & has been featured in  the Association’s Newsletter[1].
