Osborne House Open Air Concert – Saturday 25 July
The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is performing a concert in the grounds of Osborne House on the evening of Saturday 25 July, starting at about 8pm. For the last half hour, the concert is accompanied by a wonderful firework display.

The cost of the concert is about £10 per head. Those attending take picnics and liquid refreshment, and a jolly time is had by all. It is proposed to hold a joint meet with the Contessa 32s over this weekend based on the East Cowes Marina. Please let me know if you feel you would like to attend (no commitment at this stage) either by phone or email so we can get a rough idea of numbers. We will then publish further details including cost of tickets etc. nearer the time.

 

CORRECTION RE AGM DATES – 14 November 2009

There was an error in the last newsletter in "the Dates for your Diary" section on page two which had been replicated on the website.  The AGM is to be held on Saturday 14 November at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club and not on 5/6 September as indicated. Apologies for the error – please put the correct date in your diaries.  I will be sending out more details in September.

AUTUMN RALLY LYMINGTON – 5/6 September

Planning is now proceeding for the Autumn Rally. A section of the Dan Bran Pontoon at Lymington has been booked for the night of 5/6 September.. The idea is that boats should assemble on the morning of 5 September. A fun race will be organised that afternoon followed by supper in the Royal Lymington – cost about £14 per head. A table has been booked. We will then try and organise a simple race over to Yarmouth on the Sunday morning followed by a pub lunch at a local hostelry – if you are not into racing it doesn't matter – we would still like to see you.
