Dear Association Member,
We have a few items of recent news for you about the Nationals on 1st and 2nd September, to be held at the Island Sailing Club, Cowes. The Event is generously sponsored this year by Wight Vodka, and there are plenty of bottle prizes up for grabs. (Message from the Secretary – its good !). This will include prizes for our experimental mini series on the Saturday with overall results for 2 races for all 3 fleets.
We have details of two people who are available to sail on entrants boats. One is an experienced CO26 owner with racing experience whose boat is now on the East Coast and the other is a local respected Sonata owner with lots of local Solent knowledge. If anyone is interested in additional strength to their crew and would like an introduction to either we will try to facilitate this if you let me know.
The ISC Sailing Secretary is on annual leave this week. So may mean a delay in seeing entries over this period added to the Entry list and being acknowledged. We are aware of several new entries this week not listed yet. So that the Association can monitor entries over the next few days could you just drop me an email when submitting it please.
There is still time to enter for all those still thinking about it and also dinner places for Members who would like to join in for the Dinner only. All documentation is on the Island Sailing Club website. Please go to “Racing” then “Racing Documents” then “2018 Specific Events” and down the page you will find “CO 26 Nationals”. Documents there including the on line Entry Form, the Notice of Race, Championships Dinner menu and Dinner Booking Form for attention.
