Peter Hancock, cruising book author, one-time deputy harbourmaster, historian and blue water sailor has died aged 80 after a long fight against cancer.
Peter sailed Kylie, his Contessa 26 across the Atlantic.
His voyages produced three books: Sailing out of Silence, Sailing into Sunshine and Sailing Home. After he returned home to Southwold, Suffolk, he continued sailing aboard Pippin, a Drascombe Lugger
