Dear Members,
The Committee has discussed and reviewed in detail the impact on the Anniversary programme (9 to 11 July) of the Government’s announcements made on Monday 22nd February for the planned route and gateway out of lockdown in England.
We are very keen indeed and totally committed to go ahead with the Rally, assuming we are allowed to, in a manner appropriate to and befitting this important bumper anniversary year.
The roadmap Step dates will as they stand at the moment allow this. You will of course understand that the dates are conditional on everything going to plan with the rates falling and the virus coming under further control. We will all understand that the unexpected with this virus can happen and the permitted events may change. Hopefully however the cautious scheduled Step dates will achieve the objective.
We are going to keep monitoring and reviewing everything, and will be making a further Announcement about the event on 9th April. This is timed to coincide with the Government announcements on 5th April for the next Step 2 releases from the 12th April.
In the meantime all current planning is continuing and thank you to all members who have completed and returned their Intention to Enter forms. Assuming all is on target we will then open up to take formal entry forms from 12 April. More will follow about this on 9th April.
