Workshop: Rig replacement, tuning (29 April, LTSC)

We are holding two workshops at the Lymington Town Sailing Club on Saturday 22nd and Saturday 29th April 2023. For directions please see the following link Find Us | LTSC. Parking is available directly opposite the club with ticket machines in operation. The workshops will be led by me with assistance from prominent Members of the Association with relevant experience and expertise.
The first Workshop on Saturday 22nd April will cover Engines/ancillaries replacement and troubleshooting/maintenance. The second Workshop will cover Rig replacement, performance tuning and sails for cruising and racing. We will have the use of a conference room curtesy of the Club (The Martineau Room) and also have examples of Contessa 26’s with three different engine types moored on the club’s pontoon for the first workshop and the current National Champion’s boat – High Potential on the pontoon for the second workshop.
The Workshops will start each day at 10.30 with complimentary refreshments on arrival and run until 12.30 with a break for lunch. The Club’s Restaurant will be open for members to purchase an array of fine food and refreshment whilst taking in the stunning views. After lunch we will inspect the boat/s on the Club’s pontoon from 13.30 until 15.00 and finish with a Boat Jumble for an hour.
No charge is payable to members for this event but space will be limited by the room size so please indicate your interest in these events by replying to this email to book a place. Members are required to have their subs paid-up before attending these events for insurance purposes (they are overdue if still outstanding) and you should refer to the subscription renewal letter sent with the magazine in this regard if needed.
