There is a small “split in the bow, see the photo below. I’m not sure what the best approach is to resolve this?

I wonder whether you’ve knocked something and the impact has caused the split? Anyway, it’s a simple repair; I’d clean inside and out before grinding back the split. I’d then cut a sheet of Wests woven rovings and put this on the inside of the stem with a generous overlap. The outside I’d fill with Wests resin mixed with microfibres to give it some body before sanding it true with a longboard. Once done it’ll be stronger than the hull around it and you’ll be able to go ice breaking!
