Dear Association members and friends,

We hope everyone is keeping safe and well in these demanding days.
With the eagerly anticipated thought of some forthcoming brighter times and CO 26 sailing in 2021, and also to try to allay and lift the present gloomy days, the association has arranged a short programme of spring zoom meetings which we hope might be of interest to you. They are prompted by the earlier successful meetings and the pleasure then of seeing members from far and wide.
Saturday 13 February 2021 at 19.00. “Preparing a CO 26 for Club Racing and beyond”, led and presented by Ross Appleby current class National Champion, and overall winner in 2018 of the Gold Roman Bowl for Round the Island Race. Ross will share some thoughts (many are not necessarily  expensive ones) about setting up for racing including at club level.

Wednesday 3 March 2021 at 18.00.  Rob Kolster a popular Dutch member of the Association and key player in the North Sea Rallies, will give us a talk on ” Sailing his Contessa 26 Kleine Johanna in the Ijsselmer and Waddanzee region” .  It will include references to some of the lovely ports in the area. This will be followed by another of Cruising Captain, Simon Jollands fun quizzes themed with sailing and some CO 26 interest.

Thursday 1 April 2021 at 18.00. “55 years of the Contessa 26”. Simon will lead and present a talk about class history which will be particularly appropriate this month, as this is the actual month that will mark the 55th anniversary of the launch date of the first boat in Lymington.

Each meeting will be targeted at an hour or thereabouts.

To join the first one on 13 February please drop us an email by Friday 12 February and we will be delighted to add you to the list. We plan to send the meeting link then.

Kindest regards to all

Barbara and Mike
