In addition to the currently published racing round up report which in the main reports on the Association supported events there are two other 2016 prestigious south coast events in which Contessa 26s have dominated.
Graham Walton in Concession has won and is champion of the Junior Offshore Group (JOG) Class 6 Inshore Series class. The series comprised 6 races, Concession sailed a consistent and solid series to win Class and included in Graham’s results was an excellent JOG overall win in the Nab Tower Race.
Also Chris Charlesworth and Rob Gullan sailing Meow have won the 2016 Double Handed National Championships held in September. They recorded wins in all 3 races in Class 3 which were a mix of round the cans and windward leeward races. There was a large entry for these Nationals which are now established as an important event.
