NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER  – POSTAGE

The October Newsletter was sent out last week Second Class Mail. I took the newsletter plus envelope to the local Post Office where it was weighed etc and told it needed a 2nd Class large stamp.  The newsletter was posted on Thursday last and I have now discovered that a number of people from various parts of the UK are being charged postage due amounting to £1.24.  I have formally complained to the Post Office and should receive a response within the next two weeks. I have asked for a refund of just under £200 to cover the postage due costs.

In the meantime if you do not receive a newsletter by the end of this week please email (coldavidhoulton@hotmail.com) or telephone me (01590 610762) and we will dispatch another one.  Those who have paid postage due please contact Chris Allan (chrisaa@hotmail.com) – the Treasurer and ask for a refund of the postage due amount and he will send you a cheque.

I apologise for the nonsense but I  hope you agree it is more the Post Office's fault than mine!

Best wishes

DAVID HOULTON
