RACE TRAINING Day at Lymington 22 May 2021
The planned Association Race Training Day is scheduled on Saturday 22 May 2021 at Lymington.
Please see the accompanying Draft Programme and Entry Form.
This event is intended as an opportunity for members to prepare as a group for racing in forthcoming 2021 events and to give the opportunity for racing practise.
The final descriptive format of race training exercises will be dependent on the number of entries and their racing experience/background. It is planned to be of interest and of help all entrants, from our Class 1 experienced sailors to Class 3 boats with some racing experience and advice will be available from a number of our highly experienced racers including Ross Appleby and Peter Saxton on boat set up as well as racing strategy.
We are hopeful there will be something to be learnt by everyone attending.
A small entry fee of £10.00 is being charged to cover incidental expenses such as rib fuel and any surplus will be credited to Association funds.
Whilst this week’s Government announcements have given encouragement to our planning and the go ahead for this event, everyone will understand that the final programme may need some amendment or tweaking to comply with the covid restrictions at the time.
Also if for any unexpected reason it has to be cancelled or postponed due to covid restrictions the entry fee will be refunded to you in full.
Entries should be submitted on the official entry form prior to Friday 15 May 2021.
Entry Forms emailed to all members on 6th April.
