Cruising weekend June 27-29, 2008

All British Contessa sailors are invited to join us for a weekend on the beautiful
Oosterschelde, Zeeland
What started out as a small-scaIe initiative by two enthusiastic Contessa owners three years ago, has slowly but steadily evolved into a lively and informal association in the Netherlands and Flanders, called the
"Contessa Club Nederland"
The number of boats has grown from just under ten in 2004 to almost fifty by the beginning of 2007.  At our September weekends usually sail with a group of 15 to 20 boats.
Since last year, membership has opened up for other types of Contessa's than just the 32, and by now we have three 28-footers, two 26-footers and even a 38-foot Contessa that was originally designed by Sparkman & Stephens during the seventies.

For the first time we will meet for a Cruiser weekend at the beginning of the summer season. For the first time we would like to invite British Contessa's to join us for this weekend. This could be a perfect start for your summer holidays in our country.

Brief programme:
Thursday evening, meet in the Roompot Marina at the entrance of the Oosterschelde.
Friday, sail in company to Sint Annaland, diner at the Sint Annaland Sailing Club
Saturday, sail in company to Yerseke, diner at one of the famous fish restaurants
Sunday, sail in company back to Sint Annaland

Contessa sailors who are not able to bring their ship to The Netherlands could come over by car and are most welcome to join us as crew of our boats. We will make sure sufficient berths are available.

Anyone interested to join us for this weekend are invited to get in touch with Anthony Burdall, Cruising Representative of your Contessa 32 Association. www.co32.org
