A championship for everybody!

Following a generous invitation from the Contessa 32 class to hold some joint racing in the Solent in 2012 it has been agreed that a Contessa 26 National championship will be held.

Sundowner wins RIR 2011

Congratulations to Nick Rogers,  Jo Hutchinson and the crew on Sundowner CO 1228 on their fantastic achievement in testing conditions to win the coveted Gold Roman Bowl.

Congratulations too to the other Contessa 26s that finished in IRC class Jiminey Cricket - Mike and Barbara Harrison 43rd overall and Tessa Paul Wells 69th overall.

Jeremy and Fiona Rogers sailed their Contessa 32 Gigi with Carolyn Rogers, and Jo Mooring Aldridge sailed her Contessa 26 Sulali with Carolyn Brown (who reads the Shipping Forecast and News on BBC Radio 4)

Not a day for the faint of heart!

The UK, was trapped between 2 low pressure weather systems and a gale warning in force for Wight and the RSYC about to start their RIR double handed race with a record entry, including Dee Caffari and Katie Miller.
